Why am I recommending

There are a few versions of this backpack. I opted to go with the mid range version without the airbag. However, this backpack is fully compatible with both airbag and ava-lung as excellent add-on features. Proper avalanche gear is essential when riding the backcountry, air bag and Ava-lung is a nice to have, but not mandatory. It would be considered a last line of defence when caught in an avalanche.
